America’s health officials shared an incident that happened there recently. Here suddenly many people came to the hospital with problems in their eyes, where one died. While the condition of many is very bad. Problems were seen in the eyes of all of them. Many had to gouge out their eyes. Then it came to know that everyone had put eyedrops which spread bad infection in their eyes. These drugs were supposed to protect the eyes from bacterial infection, but due to this many people lost their eyesight.
68 people came in the grip
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) told that about 68 people got infected by putting this eye drop. Stains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were seen in the eyes of all of them. One of them died while eight people became blind. About four people had to have their eyes removed by surgery. All these people have been found in about 16 different states of USA. The most surprising thing is that such an infection had never been seen before.
Many eye drops have been banned earlier also
It was expensive to put eye drops
Giving information about the incident, the CDC said that most of these cases had used eye drops. After this outbreak, about ten brands of eye drops have been sent for testing. Even before this, two brands of eye drops, which were made in India, have been banned in the medical shops of America. The CDC issued a warning in January to stop using zriCare Artificial Tears and Delsam Pharma’s Artificial Tears. But now even after the ban of these two, other eye drops have done this miracle.
